The official website of a major urban development initiative in Saudi Arabia: where the city presents itself, its development projects, its services and its community.
A city that is still being built has to sell a vision as well as inform, so the site pairs content managed in a CMS with a highly interactive, animation-rich presentation.
I worked on both sides of the build: React sections and components on the front end, .NET C# and Umbraco on the back end, connected through APIs so the city’s team manages dynamic content themselves.
- Op 01
Built website sections and reusable React components, including complex layouts, pixel-perfect to the design.
- Op 02
Created advanced GSAP animations and smooth transitions that stay fluid on ordinary devices.
- Op 03
Integrated APIs and managed dynamic content from Umbraco CMS.
- Op 04
Contributed to back-end functionality in .NET C#.
- Op 05
Optimised the front end and the back end for performance, and applied technical SEO.
- Op 06
Made every section responsive across phones, tablets and large screens.
- A CMS-managed city website that the client’s team updates without developers.
- Rich, smooth animation without giving up responsiveness or performance.
